The 2nd day with my silver frost Milan, I-4, Auto. I like almost everything of this car, but I got a small problem with the 6-disc CD/MP3 player. I burned a MP3 CD on my PC, but the player can't read it. It even show load/eject error when I try to load another CD when it is reading that MP3 CD. Anyone has similar problem??

Does it play other store bought CD's with no probs? Try a different brand of CD-R media. I use Memorex CD-R black label and standard to burn music with no probs and plays in all players. Memorex works excellent on my Fusion with no probs. Most of the problems is not with the Players, it is with the CD/DVD media. When buying media do not be cheap fellas (all of you), buy quality get quality. Also use quality burners, like NEC, Pioneer CD/DVD burners. I loaded old CD's, new CD's, burned CD's, loaded all 6 slots and played them all; and all went with no problems in my 6-disc CD/MP3 player. My sugestion is try two or three other brands, if the problem persist take the vehicle back to the dealer and tell them you want a new one, they cannot refuse. :)

I am not sure if it's because of the player or CD-R. Actually it doesn't have any problem playing CDs, including some CDs I burned by using the same brand of CD-Rs. After failure of the first MP3 CD, I burned 2 other MP3 CDs at 4x and 8x speed on the burner. These CDs are playable. No problem for the first 10 to 15 songs, but after that, sometimes the player failed to read the remaining songs, or it jump back to the first song.

Re: Update CD/MP3 player problem.

I have tried to burn another MP3 CD by using NERO with an old CDRW burner, which can only burn CDs at 6x maximum. I burned the CD with 2x speed, now the player seems to be working well with this CD. I used the same brand (k-Hypermedia) CD-R. I hope I found the solution for this problem. A few years ago when people started to burn CD at 16x, burning speed had been an issue for some CD drive.

Sorry for digging this up from the dead...but I have a problem that is somewhat related to this.
I can't get the radio to recognize folders when I play the mp3cd...I have a hundred something songs on the cd, and is sorted them in folders by musician/band, but it just plays the songs in order. I'd like to hit the folder button and skip to the band then track foward and pick the song I'd like to hear. What am i doing wrong?

hit the menu button on the right side of the radio, then look through your options, there
is a setting for folder play or track play therek, in case you haven't figured it out yet.
