Sorry Greg... we were set to use one of yours, but the resolution just wasn't up to par and we didn't want to take a chance with blurry prints. The cover is still being finalized so we might be able to get a smaller image in there.

Congrats on a nice looking calendar, at least from the small thumbnails. :wink: If I submitted more than one pic, I might have been able to get in it somewhere :lol:

Are you saying the cover will have a collection of pics, or one big one?

There will be a collection of a few pics. There were a few that got cut because of resolution issues (as we all know now ;-)) that I really would like to see featured. I'm going to try to get something together tonight.... we shall see.

As for the small thumbnails, I posted links to 640 pix wide images in the other thread... that'll give you a better idea!

I don't get it - I thought all digi-cams were at least 3.2 MP now-a-days... was that not enough?

At the beginning of the project, the request was vague, asking for "highest resolution possible" which could be 640x480 for some cameras... Then D clarified by saying 1024x768, and all images at that resolution were still considered, but when we got images much higher than that, the lower ones got pushed out. Even 2MP is higher than 1024x768, so that never should have been an acceptible resolution. The requirement will be much clearer for next year. 3+ megapixels will probably be fine... we'll know for sure after this one is printed and we can compare how the 3MP images look next to the 5MP images.

i will probably buy one, just waiting for next paycheck. Lots of mazda3s is a good thing, even if i already have a 2006 calendar. it's actually too bad that a better variety of colors weren't in the calendar. Be nice to see most of the colors rather than a bunch of winning blue. I've also seen much better pictures posted, so it's too bad those probably weren't high enough resolution or weren't submitted. (I still think the calendar looks great though)

Thanks! It is a shame we didn't get more colors. There were some great shots of a yellow sedan in the autumn, really nice, except it looked like they were taken with a camera phone and were very fuzzy. We did reach out to a few people that posted really nice pics to see if we could use them in the calendar but never heard back. I was happy that we got to include a Nordic Green and Lava Orange though.... they're colors you don't see every day! Vel Red was also great to include.... I really think we did a decent job of representing the proportions of colors that are out there for the most part.
