I have the Steeda CAI. But I was poking around the engine bay and noticed the tube underneath the CAI where the old air box connected to the fender. You guys know where I'm talking about? Anyway... do you think there is a way, or would it even be beneficial, to somehow route an extension off of that tube up to the CAI? I hope all this doesn't make me sound like an idiot... but I just wondered if we could do something with the old piece.

On a side note, any of you that have the Steeda CAI know that they give you a long strip of black molding that goes around the top of the CAI box to seal it against the hood. BUT... if you notice the Steeda fusion on they're website, the molding they have on theres is significantly thicker. Is there any benefit to having thicker molding?
