Anyone have access to the black book and can tell me how much a 2006 Fusion SE I4 5-spd, w/90,000 miles, w/alloys, w/o SAP, w/moonroof, and w/o premium audio is listed as? I think that I gave all the options they want to know but if not I can post em up.

$3000 is definitely way too low.

Honestly, I've found Edmunds much more accurate than KBB or Black Book.

But isn't black book what dealers use? Usually I use NADA as I think that is the closest, but when it comes to selling I use whichever is highest :lol:

Some do, I'm sure. However, I doubt any use just one source.

Edmunds says your car (if it actually does qualify as being in "outstanding condition") is worth $6.6k trade, $7.7k private party sale and $9k dealer retail.

Not really, but I know they will give me those numbers for what I am buying, a ST3 with a moon roof (it literally will have every option the car has to offer). And if they want the sale, they will give me at least $7,000 because thats the least I will take. :lol:

NADA is throwing Rough trade: $5,250 Average trade: $6,250 Clean trade: $7,075 and Clean retail: $9,650 so hopefully I can use that to get close to my minimum $7,000.

Well, given the high initial demand for that vehicle, I think you're going to have little negotiating power. Not to mention that, even though it's a nice vehicle, it's not going to have much higher margins than any other car on the lot.

Thanks, I am going to need it. My biggest hurdle is not letting them know I am getting A-plan until after we agree on the trade in otherwise I can kiss trade in value goodbye.

Hi Kenny. :wavey: Just as an FYI - If you read the AXZ-Plan rules, you will see that you are required to identify yourself as a prospective Plan buyer. So just go in knowing that if you try to hide it until the end then spring it on them as a surprise, they can and will withdraw any trade-in offer made, if they feel like it. And if they don't, that only means they low-balled you in the first place.

Either way, just realize that according to Ford's AXZ-Plan rules, Plan buyers can not play those kinds of games.

Of course it's more hassle, but I've sold many a car on CL.

Because I hate having to deal with lowballers and people that watch too much storagewars and shows like it where they think they can get a great stuff for nothing. Its just quicker and easier to get a good trade in value and be done with it. If I can not get a good enough price for it at the dealership though I will be going that route.
