how does one go about loading a picture for an avatar.

Click on the "Profile" icon above, then click on "Forum Profile Information", which is under the "Modify Profile" section.  There you can either specify the URL of a hosted pic, or you can upload a pic from your PC.

EDIT: Also, please put your location in your profile.

Also it has to be 125x125 you can resize pics by going into

your pictures then right click and open with whatever program

you have, then pic the customize size option and resize to specs.

Then do what RB said to load it to the forum, hope this helps.
