Well this really pisses me off. Ford recalls 145000 vehicles to fix something which they admit is wrong, even though there are no accidents/injuries reported. They are doing the right thing and get the usual commie press bad mouthing.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Toyota recalled over 2,500,000 vehicles in the US last year - while they sold only 1,250,000 vehicles in the country. I'm not bagging Toyota - they want to do the right thing too, but why doesn't the press make a big stink about recalling twice as many vehicles as sold in a year? Smell any bias hear?
Seems the media - and CNN in particular - want to crucify the domestic manufacturers whenever they can, and turn a blind eye to the Japanese manufacturers. Did you know that the worst plant in North America for automobile quality is the Nissan plant in Tennessee? When Consumers Reports reported this fact, they HAD to add an editorial comment saying it was surprising that the worst performing plant was a Japanese nameplate (and obviously they meant and not Ford, Chrysler, or GM).
