HI EVERYONE IM NOT SUPER KNOWLEDGABLE ON THIS SO PLEASE BEAR WITH ME.....
I OWN A '06 FUSION I-4 5-SPEED AND MY DREAM IS TO TURBO IT THIS SUMMER ... THERE IS NOT A LOT OUT THERE FOR MY CAR (TURBO I.E.) BUT I WAS READING ON THE MAZDA 6 AWD TURBO AND SAW IT WAS THE 2.3L MOTOR... SO MY QUESTION IS ARE THESE MOTORS SIMILAR TO THE FUION DURATEC?????? I WAS JUST WONDERING CUZ I WOULD LIKE TO USE SOME OF THOSE PARTS ON THE MAZDA 6 IF POSSIBLE .. I.E. INJECTORS,FUEL PUMP, PIPING, ECT.......DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW???? ANY INPUT WOULD BE EXTREMELY HELPFULL... PLEASE HELP....

Well, they're similar to the MZR2.3 - the standard Mazda3 motor - which in turn is similar to the MS6's varient of it. The MazdaSpeed6's varient of the 2.3 gains most of its power from being direct injected, however (DISI), not from the (relatively small) turbo/etc, though of course that is a gain of power.


In short, Duratec 23 = MZR2.3... which is then modified to make the MazdaSpeed6's motor.
