It all depends on the MSRP on the vehicle you plan to purchase! My father saved $16,000 on his navigator. The least I've seen is $1,500. I will give 7 of my X plan pins to anyone who want's them just IM me. No charge! I just have to keep 1 for myself in case I decide to trade!! Please one pin per user!

Also, if you can sell more than the amount of PINS you have -- Ford will continue to give you more and more.

My father is known for his ability to sell vehicles. Something like, you get 4 of the retiree PINS and 4 that are "friends and family" or something like that. Anyway, he sold something like 23 last year.

Ford will always work with you to sell a vehicle, so someone doesn't buy a Dodge, Honda or Chevy. Good for them, I'd say. They are still making money, either way.

How nice of you to offer the deal, as well. My old boss at work got a $41,000 King Ranch for $32,500 out the door. I got my Red Carpet Lease at a steal, as well.

Re: Anyone looking for an employee discount, I have 7 plan pins left for 2007!!

Are there different levels of the X Plan? I get a couple PINs per year from my employer. The best price that gives is right around invoice price.

Hi Hoosier. No, there is one X-Plan price. If you have an X-Plan Pin, the Dealer is required to show you the Invoice.
There will be a box labeled "X-Plan Price". That is your starting point for your price.

You are then also entitled to all customer incentives and rebates that are currently available on the vehicle you are buying.

It is important to remember that the Dealer can not charge you any extra fees, such as "Documentation", "Prep", "Computer Usage", etc etc.

Essentially, you will pay: The X-Plan Price
+ any Dealer installed options you agree to (stay away from these)
+ Tax, License and Registration
- All eligible rebates and incentives.
= Your purchase price

You also need to calculate in your trade, if you trade in your old car. If you need more details, feel free to ask.
Good luck!

Question:
Do such "pins" and "plans" exist for Vehicle model? ie - BMW, Volvo.
Or is it strictly for Ford?
TIA

Any Ford owned product, as far as my knowledge. It may only be for the FLM family -- but I thought we used one on a Mazda and a Jag before.

Man I'm sorry It took me so long to answer. I've been spending the last couple days wrestling with a tempermental DMP (digital music player). I appreciate the response that I've gotten through IM's. I do still have pins left. Employee discounts apply to all Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Land Rover and, Jaguar products. No luck on the Ashton Martins though. Ford will now alloy the pins to be registered in a business name also. Anyone can have one on a first come first serve basis. Just contact me to check availability. All you have to do is go to the dealership. Once you have choosen the vehicle, tell the sales person that you qaulify for Ford employee discounts through your freind. Have the dealer call me. I'll foward your info so Ford will generate a pin #. And I'll call the dealer back and give them pin for their paperwork! and vwala! employee discount! I'm a Verizon customer. Phone # (440)-541- 4230. I'll try to be attentive. Sometimes I can be difficult to reach! I'm normally awake between 11:00a.m. to 2:00a.m.

The "X" plan is nice because it keeps the dealer honest. It is not the same huge discount you'd get if you were a Ford employee. My dealer already had good pricing so the X-plan only saved me about $60, but that's still an extra $60 in my pocket so I was happy. The big $ saver for me was the rebate and the 0.9% financing from Ford - those two made the Fusion a super buy. Had they not been in effect I'd be driving a Focus.
