I know there was a post in regards to performance parts coming out this month? I understand that their is the cpu already! But I'am very interested(like others) on a CAI for the V6.. IF there is 1 out already pls let me know! And if you have the intake and cpu? Where do I send the $? Also their was a member on here with an nice looking Intake he had made, If you have tried it on a V6 let us know? Thanks!

We dont intend to release an intake for the Fusion. We will simply re-sell intakes from K&N, Injen, Fujita and AEM.

Do the aftermarket CAI's throw a lean code?

Not necessarily.... if the company makes sure they keep the diameter of the tube where the MAF housing is located close to stock, then no lean codes will be thrown. K&N usually does a pretty darn good job this this. I just installed one of their intakes on my 5.4L V8 Expedition and no lean code for me...and the Expedition uses a similar MAF as the Fusion.

On the other hand, AEM and Injen had serious problems with lean codes on the 6 - injen especially.

Yep...it comes down to how much time a company invests in their R&D..... AEM and Injen are awfully damn fast to release items to market.... K&N is usually last to the party, but they almost always have a superior product.
