I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work on a Canadian vehicle. The components (PATS and keyless receiver) should be the same. Give it a try and let us know!

Thanks. I'm going to do a little more research and see if it is worth it. From what I understand, if I have 2 keys, I should just be able to get it cut and program it myself?

What do you guys think about this key? The one posted here doesn't ship to Canada grrr. This one also has a Ford logo! What do you guys think? Will it work?

Hmm looks like it wont work. I emailed the seller and he informed me that it wouldn't work on a 2012, as the chip is different. They said they are having others made that will be compatible so we'll see how this goes!

If it doesn't work on a 12 it probably won't work on a 10 either huh? Is there a difference between the 10's and 12's?

Probably not. He said he is having some made for the 1.5 gens but I haven't heard back. I'll send him a message.

i own that key and love it it is so much better than stock key. you don't need a locksmith to cut it i work for a home improvement company and used the key machine to make the cut had no problems

They wouldn't touch mine at all. Went to two of them, neither one would for liability reasons.
