nope! It worked. I didn't realize you had to program the PATS separately from the fob. I found the procedure online (I don't have an owners manual) and did it and the thing works!
One of the coolest mods I've done on any of my cars to date!
Off topic a lil: this key is a dead ringer for a VW key. Same design and everything. Kinda wish it had a VW logo on the back just to freak people out..

Hi lyonsroar. :wavey: You can download a pdf version of your Owners Manual from the Ford/Lincoln-Mercury Owners website located here -
http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/IdentifyVehiclePage&BackToLogin=Owner/Page/OwnerGuidePage&ord=91325628 It comes in very handy. I actually wind up using the pdf version more often than my Owners Manual hard copy.
While you re at it, you may as well register. Once you register, there are useful and convenient services available.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Yup. That's where I got it from. I really prefer the paper version though. Usually when I first get a car I sit down that night and read the manual and then never touch it again. Sometimes there's interesting tid bits.

Hi lyonsroar. :wavey: Yup, I actually prefer having both. In this way, I can keep my hard copy in my cars glove compartment if I ever need it. And when I need to look something up while online at home or in the office (i.e. for answering questions here) I can use the pdf version. Also, since you stated you don't have an Owners Manual, I assumed a pdf version would at least help a little.
Good luck.
