Most of you know my background in the caraudio world.( if not read some of my posts) I have exactly what the topic says.....

2 Solobaric 10L7 dual 4 ohm subs....

a KX1200.1 amp.......1200watts rms @1 ohm.......but with a "birth certificate" for 1500 watts @ 14.4 volts......

there are a few more images at the bottom of this post, but here's the story with this equipment...

I bought them when I work at another shop that sold Kicker. I built a box ( large vented) for my wifes Civic. Installed the amp, and was easily doing 145db with out even trying. This package is amazing....The she decided to trade the car in, so I had to pull it all out after only 4-5 months. Right after she traded the car in, the shop I was at went out of business, and now I am at Sound Solutions. We don't sell Kicker at SS, so it would not be in my best interest to put this equipment in anything I own.(Besides we both have full Alpine systems now.) The subs and amp are 3 1/2 years old but have only been used 4-5 months. The only thing I don't have is the bass knob for the amp, which shouldn't matter if you are using a decent deck with sub volume control. After it was pulled out of the Civic, all the eqipment was put back into the original plastic and boxes and stored in a hall closet.

I'll find out shipping today and let you know tonight. I'll take everything to work and box it and weight it. My thought is that everything weighs 40lbs, and if I can get it all in one box.........(UPS estimate......)

No box, but they make decent prefabs for solos, your local shop should be able to get you one for around 100 bucks.

trying to keep it together....sorry, but one sub sold, makes it hard to sell the other sub and amp. I am willing to drop price to $400.00 plus shipping. I am moving by the end of this month so this would need to happen pretty quick, if any one is interested.

How can you run a 4 ohm speaker with a 1 ohm sub?

How well does a setup like this match for someone who does not play rap, techno, or bass?

Not sure what you are asking....The subs are dual 4 ohm, and the amp delivers 1200watts rms @ 1ohm....so you wire all voice coils in parallel (+ to + to + to + , etc) and you get a 1 ohm load for the amp.

it will be way too much. this setup is for ghetto thumpin - hear ya comin 5 blocks away bass.

That is kinda what I was thinking but damn it is a good deal 400 bucks for the setup. I guess I could turn the power way down and baby them to give the results I want...

Jeba I would hold to that price. You can buy the amp alone right now from a couple of places for 430 bucks, but the speakers sweeten your deal. Too bad the sub box I have now has dual ROUND 12 inch speakers...
