Is there any better updates for this Sync garbage in this fusion?

I Litterally have to pull the fuse every couple months because it goes stupid and loses its mind.

Usually when the temp is hot outside the sync brain goes retarded.

The broad won't listen, never recognizes Bluetooth etc.

Anyone know of any aftermarket updates yet?

Hi Winchested. There are no "aftermarket" SYNC 1 updates. The most viable option would be to simply replace the head unit with a modern unit with up to date capabilities.

If you would like to look into that, I would recommend contacting Crutchfield to find out what options are available according to your preferences and price range. Crutchfield: Car Stereo and Audio, Speakers, Home Theater, Pro Audio, TVs

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
Thanks yes I have looked into this.

It just sucks because my 2011 F150 has the same sync system but it actually works properly and doesn't have the same issues. I figured it was worth a shot.

However the speaker system in the fusion is 100 times better than the F150 and doesn't seem to have the same bass roll off issues over 1/2 volume as the F150. So I'd rather spend money on that one with an aftermarket head unit. However... I rarely drive it and daily the fusion so it makes more sense to spend it here. Friggen Microsoft junk.

Tried a few different sources for updates

https://www.reddit.com/r/Ford/comments/4fhpx3
Another download from another fusion site.

Straight from the ford UK website.

All in all comes back to Install failed. Or files not found.

Using a 4gb flash drive FAT32 format.

I just want more stable bluetooth and Song display over bluetooth.

I give up. Been out to the car 15 times.

I'm not paying a dealer to install something that should be free.

I don't think that is the one you want. That might be for with navigation.

dr3t-14d544-af has Siri Eyes Free (and hey google commands) and track info on the VFD display.
dr3t-14d544-ag has Siri Eyes Free disabled I am not sure if you care, I use it all the time, so I needed it so stayed with 4.4.

3.2 was very problematic for me. I bought my car used 200 miles away from home, and I had so many problems with it I wanted to rip it out. But once I got 4.1.2 it was slightly better, 4.6 more frequently defaulted back to Bluetooth and required fewer fuse/battery pulls to reset it, but Siri Eyes Free disabled was a show stopper for me.

There are 3 drivers of the car, with 3 different phones, and we use Bluetooth headphones, so it is less likely to get the correct Bluetooth connected, but if I drove it last, and drive it next without using another Bluetooth device on my phone, it connects and works immediately. We frequently do need to press the speak button and say "Bluetooth Audio" but that is okay, my SYNC 3 vehicle rarely gets it right (but we usually plug in and use CarPlay/Android Auto).

This was removed a month ago, this shows some version information, but gets very vague when it gets to 4.6 and possibly 4.8. It also doesn't specify the differences in V4.4 versions.

Ya that list is for SYNC w/my Ford not the sync 1 basic.

The other number (FPN) is what I am familiar with.
I have dr3t-14d544-af which is version 4.4
The last was 4.6 which was dr3t-14d544-ag (but it has bugs that cause issues with phone voice commands)
DR3T-14D544-AF finally found the file on a Lincoln forum. It starts the install currently have the Ignition on and waiting for it to finish. But from what I've read over there lots of people were having the issue of the install never finishing.

Did not work, would never finish the install. Trying 4.6 now DR3T-14544-AG it started the install will see if it finishes.

Last attempt or I give up again. I dont need no apple stuff so could care less about voice activation. I only ever use it to activate bluetooth audio anyhow.

Given up completely. Tried 2 differnT USBs both are 4gb. Both formated to Fat32 tried with both the syncmyride folder and removing the syncmyride folder and putting everything in the root and modify the install lst files to match.

Started the install drove around for 40 min left running the whole time. Didn't touch the radio. Goes thru the sync installed blah blah, wait 10 min for it to reboot and tell you it's complete.

Never works.

What a junk system.

No wonder I prefer all my old junk.
