With over six thousand miles on the Milan, the one thing that I wished it had was extensions on the sun visors. Well yesterday, I was going to do something about it. So I swung the visor to the left to take a measurement and while I was in the process of scrutinizing the issue, I decided to pull on the visor and guess what? The whole visor moved to the left on the pivot shaft! Dah! ! I have to say, it’s a pretty ingenious way around visor extensions. Thank you Mercury!

my SE V6 Fusion has it also.  read about it in the owners manual and tried and it worked.  it is nice to have.

I went and tested it on the test drive. Extending visors was on my "car must have" list when I was looking for a new car.

You mean you didn't want to tint 3/4 of your windshield like we did back in high school (that was the 80's for me- yes I'm old). Apologies to anyone with tint on their windshield.

Hm, on my gf's Fusion, it says "sliding visor" right on on the visor, are we talking about the same thing?

Wow - almost 30,000 miles on this car and I just found this out about 2 minutes ago after reading this.......... Boy do I feel stupid. But, this is awesome! I've probably shielded my eyes more times than I can count when this would have solved the problem altogether.
