Well....Christmas even coming home on 696 eastbound out of Detroit at 3:30 in the morning....not a car in sight. I said to my GF that if I were to ever try to go 120mph in our Fusion, now would be the time. She gave me the thumbs up so I let it rip! Saw 120+ on the speedo quite quickly before I let off the gas. In 4th gear of the manual at 6500rpm I was doing around 115 I believe, so it will pull top speed in 5th gear. I am still digging the Jusnes Tune!

I think top speed is ~125. I had mine bouncing off the speed limiter one day on a back road. Honestly, this pulls above 100 almost as good as my SHO did. That seemed to hit 110 and then creep up to 144.

Does the chip remove the limiter?

I think the top speed on a stock 4 cylinder is limited to around 115, maybe even 110. The tune removes the speed limiter.

You haven't tried the torque tune yet???? LOL! I went about 2 days before trying the torque tune and I can't go back. I just can't give up the low and mid range grunt of the TORQUE tune! Plus I picked up 1mpg over the stock tune, and my little 4 cylinder manual feels soooo good when shifting through the gears now. It was pretty tepid in stock form, had to rev it all the time for any type of performance, but now it just rips!

Chris... you don't know what you are missing, buddy!!!!!!!!!
you know... yes, they tuner does give you more mpg....but with the way my whip rides now (with Magnaflow, Xcal2, and Steeda CAI)... I can't help it but let it rip MOST of the time.... I love it!! the growl of the engine/CAI... to the Deep exhaust... and to most importantly feeling my fusion pull you into the seat.... I LOVE IT!!!
and im only getting now 18 mpg... Do I mind??? NO!!

If i want economy.. i just drive calmly .. not letting RPM go over 2500.... but I KNOW that at any given moment I want... I have the horses and the response to get my back whenever I need to!!!

YES, I'M STILL LOVING THE FUSION/X-CAL2 (thanks Bob)!!!!

Actually NO, now... I love it even MORE!

Ok, I love the fact that I don't have to rev the engine to get great power. I punched it when I left work tonight and I was amazed of the power that this engine can produce with a little tuning from Jusnes. I recommend this to anyone who wants more power for not a lot of money. :klavergreg:

It must be the tune, my stock i4 auto cut out at around 117 which sucked because it was still pulling good. Probably for the best though because about 10 miles down the road I spotted a state trouper in the shadows under the overpass. Not sure what the ticket would have been? Probably would have shredded my license on the spot.

Yeah, don't get caught doing that. You could be cited for reckless driving +6 points and one helluva fine! I only tried that speed once, and that is enough. Not worth getting [email protected]

That is what I love - I can shift at 1000rpm less than I did when it was stock and still accelerate faster! Don't have to rev the crap out of the engine anymore! Now I shift between 4-5k usually, instead of 5-6k.

I did a top speed run with my SE V6 last week and the govenor kicks in at 110! :(
I was at about 4,500RPM (redline is 6,500) so I figure the V6 is good for about 130 or so?

Yeah, I imagine a V6 could see 130+. I had my old 205hp V8 T-Bird up to 130 a couple of times.

But as it is now, my 2.3 is faster than your V6! :)

Not sure about the fusion but I've driven to alfa's with V6 engines one stock did 130 or so and one modified hit 145! I would expect a deregulated V6 fusion to do well. My 4.6l 32v V8 mustang mach 1 hit 160 (unregulated)

After playing around a little on the freeway this weekend, I can tell you the V6 will do 130mph easily. At that speed it's still pulling pretty hard, and I'm sure it will top 140mph. 8)

my milan has a stupid limiter at 112mph. it also feels slower than before, especailly in the 90-110mph range. what should i tell the dealer? Is this kind of slow down covered under warranty?

its not surprising that the 4 banger does 120+, i've done 130 on a rental hyundai accent (1.6 liter, 106hp) b4, albeit downhill. the hyundai accent also did around 115mph on flat terrain
