I just got a bass/ski boat (a Stratos, 10-15 years old). Any thoughts on towing it with my 2015 Fusion SE 2.5 Liter? The boat ramp is approximately 1 mile from my house.

Technically, it is likely way over the 1000 pound tow rating of the 2.5. I would guess (a real guess, because there are probably a lot of variations of this manufactures boats) that boat is close to 2000 pounds, and the trailer 600-800 and added equipment, probably close to 3500 pounds.

While generally it is stopping ability that is most critical, I would also be worried about getting stuck on the ramp. I am not sure I would chance it, even for a mile.

Agree even if it were able to get it in the water it will struggle to remove the boat on the wet ramp. Get a real tow vehicle is my opinion.
