Hi abidz05 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. The best course of action would be to take it back to the body shop that did the work, so they can take care of these issues.
Let us know how you make out and good luck.
Hi abidz05 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. The best course of action would be to take it back to the body shop that did the work, so they can take care of these issues.Hello,
I have 2015 Ford fusion which I took to the body shop to get the passenger door replaced at that time the only issue it had is the airbag light due to seat belt being deployed. When I got the car back I saw many things different on the car:
1-Steering is hard
2-Turn Signal not working
3-The button in the steering wheel not working
4-Parking Brake light is on
5-Traction light is on
6-ABS light is on
7-On the Screen I see the message AdvanceTrac
I ran Forscan and included the result here. Not sure where to start actually, the car only has 67K miles.
Any help really appreciated.
Hi bbf2530 and thank you for your response. I already did and for 2 weeks that took us no where because from their prospective they say they did not touch anything on the car except replacing the door and painting the side of the vehicle. I do not mind paying some money to get this fixed to move on so I wont waste my time on it without any progress.Hi abidz05 and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. Hi abidz. Well, common sense would dictate that if everything worked properly before the shop touched your vehicle, but there were issues immediately after, then there is a good chance something they did with the door (or otherwise) contributed to the current issues. There are modules in the door which could cause problems it they were damaged.Hi bbf2530 and thank you for your response. Hi bbf2530 thank you for your reply. Here what we did so far for the vehicle:Hi abidz. But if you feel you will get no help from them...Then the next step would be to have the battery professionally load tested by a Ford Dealer or independent shop/you trust. Not an old fashioned battery meter, but a full, professional lad testy.
Modern vehicles are very battery intensive. And a weak/failing battery can cause many electrical/electronic gremlins. Not sure every issue you are having, but it is not impossible.
Unlike in the good old days, the reliable lifespan of a battery in a modern car is 3-4 years. This is due to how batter intensive our cars are nowadays. If the battery in your 2015 Fusion is still the original factory battery, it is long overdue for replacement.
So a battery load test would be the next self-help step.
Keep us updated and good luck.
Hi Justin,Your Forscan readout shows that there was a lost communication with Steering Column Control Module, Body Control Module and ABS Control Module 'A'
The repair shop definitely did something wrong when they replaced your door. Could be an electrical connector was never plugged back in, or a pinched/damaged wire. I would definitely take it back to them and complain, tell them to fix the issue as they most certainly caused it.
