Howdy all! Love my Hybrid, wanted to install a system for better sound. I haven't seen a lot of installs, so here's what I got. Really challenging to replace head unit, so I didn't. I put in a Audio Control LC7, ran all the speaker wire outputs to it. It converts to RCA. Then ran to a Sound Storm active Crossover system. From there ran to a 4 channel Kenwood amp and a Mono sub amp. In the doors I installed Infinity 6.5" separates. And a Kicker 8" dual VC sub in a cheap box. Overall, I'm very happy with the final set up. Sadly, I can only get 1.6 volts at 75 percent volume out of the stock deck to the LC7, so that degrades what could be awesomeness. If you want pictures, I'd be happy to provide. I built a small wood shelf to mount everything on top of the hybrid battery cover. I have not noticed any difference in MPG, nor have there been any dropouts or heat related cut outs, and I live in Vegas, and it's summer, so I don't expect any at this point.
