A friend sold it to me for $1600 (high wholesale value I think). Very clean inside and out and even the engine compartment. All the features. AC blows cold. Starts, runs, shifts, drives and brakes great although the PO said it burns some oil. No leaks. Passed CA smog so engine condition is good. Almost new tires. All maintenence up to date. Timing belt changed at 195k. Plugs and coils changed at 155k.

I do have two relatively small problems - not sure if I should discuss them here, (1) the Pioneer after-market head unit with backup camera has a blurry image in reverse and a blank screen in D, P, etc., and (2) the power drivers seat will not move forward although it will tip up. I have researched the head unit issue with no resolution as yet. All ideas appreciated. I think I understand how to get the seat adjusted for my height.

Hi lrayvick and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. If the seat will not move through its proper fore/aft range, then it could be a motor, gear or track issue.

Concerning the aftermarket head unit/camera issue: Not much help I can offer there, since it is aftermarket. Of course there would not be a rear view displayed in anything other than Reverse. But I am not sure why the screen is blurry, other than a camera issue. You have tried cleaning the camera lens, correct?
And if you are stating the display is blank in D, P etc., and does not display the radio etc., then it sounds like a possible head unit issue. But you may need an audio techie to help you with that.

Perhaps one of our audio experts will jump in to help.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Thanks bbf2530.

I took some time to fool around with the head unit setup and figured out how to get the screen image in all positions. Not sure how I did it. But even after cleaning the camera the backup image is still blurry. I don't need it so it will stay blurry.

Re the drivers seat I took the switch apart and sorta cleaned it. The seat now moves up/down properly (switch assembled) but the seat will only move forward/back if I insert a little screwdriver in the forward/back part of the disassembled switch and move the metal switch part. So that part of the switch is worn out. At least I got the seat adjusted properly for me. Shorty drivers will have to use a pillow. Looks like a new switch is about $25.

The PO got an estimate from her mechanic to fix the seat for $1200.
