Last week I went to visit Tropical Ford in Orlando. They had a white GT500 conv in their show room. The engine bay looked very well done. The inside wasnt bad but it looks like the GT's inside. But for $50,000 or $70,000 (Tropical Fords price after Taxes and the dealers crazy charges) I say that Ford could of done a hell of a better job with their exterior and interior.

For that money, I could get me a 2007 Z06 which has so many smart accessories. Ford could of done the LED tail lights, LED side markers, LED turn signals, Xenon lights. And that projectile display on the windshield that the Z06 has. And a little bit better work on their body, and wheels.

I will just wait for their second production on the Shelby. And give it a year so the price will be fair.

But for now, I will stick with my 2004 Cobra.

unfortunately the mark-up puts it in the same price range as the 06-07 z06, but if you can get one for msrp you can't beat a 40K car with 500hp. there's a guy on svtperformance.com that has modded it up to 600hp to the wheels with not too many mods, his most hardcore mod was a ported blower. he's only had it a month and is in the 10's so ya can't complain there.

That is, true. That is what I love about super charged Cobras, the littlest mod makes power crazy. Dont get me wrong, I love the new Cobras, but I am going to have to wait until the price goes down. I guess I am going to have to do the LED's and Xenon lights myself. Thats why I say Ford wil always be better. I love GM muscle cars and Dodge, but I will always have a Ford.

hid's are finally planned for mustang for the 08 model year. It took ford way too long to offer an hid option on their vehicles.
I'm waiting to see what kind of power the bullitt mustang will be putting out as to whether i get the new body style or an 04 cobra. I've heard a boss is planned with 390hp and some weight reduction but then I heard the bullitt is getting made so, we'll have to see what they'll do. Right now those new bodies are just too heavy for me to enjoy.
