Hey thanks bbf... looks like i'm learning lessons for others to learn from :)

One more questions, since I have the headlights designed for HID's with the proper HID projectors instead of the halogen projectors, I need to buy aftermarket's designed for D1S plugs that I have in those and just remove the original D1S bulbs and ballasts, correct?

Having the projector housing which is designed for HIDs (which you do) is the ticket to a nice HID setup. From some of the reading I just did it seems as if you can run a D2S bulb w/ ballast as well. http://www.xenonoptics.com/faq3.php

Thanks for the info Y2K... btw... did you end up using your BOW cancellers and/or just the accessory wiring harness to make the car have no more error messages? Also, who makes a cheap but decent kit around here, i'm thinking maybe not to do the el-cheapo ebay kits this time?

No problem! After installing the accessory wiring harness the BOW cancelers were no longer needed... I believe the relay provided enough resistance for the car to be "happy." I suggest DDM Tuning for HID kits.

From what I understand the accessory wiring harness simply gives you a better connection to the battery/ground... it doesnt provide resistance, so how/why would the error's go out? To get rid of BOW's you need proper resistance and this doesn't provide it... care to elaborate on how you accomplished what you did with just this wiring harness?

The accessory wiring harness's relay is triggered/powered by the lighting harness on the car. (That way, when you turn on your lights, that energizes the relay to then draw power from the battery and route it to the ballasts.) In the case of my 2010 Fusion, that "draw" to energize the relay is enough to satisfy the car to keep the "lights on" while the engine is running.

So I bought an HID kit, using D2S bulbs because it seems like they will fit perfectly into a D1S socket, I will probably have to rig them up to hold them in though, but that shouldnt be a big deal. The issue i'm having though is the relay harness... they sell all kinds of them on ebay... H11... 9005 9006, etc... I'm not sure which one will plug in, are they all unique or something? The connectors look like normal aftermarket HID connectors though, so it shouldnt matter right? They are the same one's that DDM Tuning sells, except for $15 bucks shipped, not $15 plus another $15 for shipping which is nuts. Please advise...

spidermedia - Sorry to revive an old thread, but I am dealing with this same issue right now. Grabbed some HID lights from a 09 MKZ for my 09 MKZ. Did you find a solution to eliminate the BOW's and find a solution? I don't want to recreate the wheel here.
