So I am hoping with some help that we can put what we know about Canaian_LX's (AKA Josh) 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. :assume:
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...anadian_LX.jpg What I think he's done so far; Cool Wheels Drop on Ford racing Springs Loud Stereo Of course, none of this can be proven because I have no pictures. So, what do you know? ![]()

HELLO!! Welcome to my MOD THREAD! So happy to be here and I'm glad you can join me on this wonderful journey!
Allow me first to introduce myself, my name is Anderson Cooper. I am a 2006, Lincoln Zephyr coloured in silver frost metallic paint. I've got a black leather interior with all the bells and whistles that Lincoln cars are known for like factory HID's, 10-way power heated/cooled seats, sunroof, and real ebony wood trim. I was purchased by my owner, Josh, on 21 January 2010. This was the best day of my life! We've been a happy couple for two years now and I couldn't have asked for a better owner. I remember the day like it was yesterday. Being January, it was COLD (he loves my beaver heaters btw...). We did a little cruise around town and tested out my stereo. I've got a factory installed, THX certified system with 14 speakers and 600w of amplified power. I remember him saying how much he loved it, but that it needed more. We'll get to that later on though. Here is me when he first brought me home from the dealership: ![]() I know, I know, NO TINT! Yeah, I felt naked too!! Pssh, thank god that was about to change! It did not take long before I was graced with some nice dark tint and in April 2010, we went shoe shopping!! WOO! Who doesn't love a new pair of shoes... right?? This is what we decided on: ![]() These are a beautifully crafted, 20" 5-spoke polished aluminum wheel from MSR. Wrapped in 245/35/20 series tires. So, now that I'm tinted with some new shoes and ready to hit the town, it was time for a minor stereo upgrade. So he ordered me a new power booster: ![]() ![]() Yeah, "oh shit" was my first thought too. What could he possibly have in store? I soon found out: ![]() Oh gawd, really? Am I not classy enough for a real build? Thankfully he thought I was So out came that ugly, oversized monstrosity:![]() And into the shop I went. 4 days later, a little botox in the bum and this is what I had going for me: ![]() Rough I know, but after a little massaging and careful planning, this is what turned out: ![]() ![]() He even got rid of my cigarette lighter (who smokes in their car anyways?) and replaced it with a remote bass control knob: ![]() I'll give you the specifications on everything later on the thread. Right now I'm just giving a timeline of our relationship with pictures (I know you all LOVE pictures!) to get things going and keep you interested. So now, here we are with tint, wheels and a boombastic stereo to draw some attention, but we ran into an issue with weight. My bum was too heavy and really dragging me down. Ford Racing springs to the rescue!: ![]() Only the front springs were used since the back already sat low enough. Around the same time (summer 2010) He also picked me up a new gauge so I can be sure my voltage always stays constant. Mounted with a Roush gauge kit for the 2005+ Mustangs and F-150's, it was a shot in the dark that worked perfectly! Gauge is an AutoMeter "Ford Racing" (gotta stick with the OEM stuff!) volts meter: ![]() ![]() That was about it for my modding ventures in 2010. After a quick trip to the oil spray dude, I got stored for the winter and came out to play in spring of 2011. Time for some new upgrades? Sure, but just some little things. He dropped me at the shop again to have my front bumper repainted (I was full of scars ) and also added some stopping power... Thats right! Cross drilled all around! Also had my calipers painted black to match the rest of the theme:![]() And here is me with my freshly did bumper and FINALLY no plate holder: ![]() Yes, I know I need it up here but I look so much prettier without it! He has however purchased and installed for me a motorized plate holder from Swift Motorsports. This way we can cruise as rebels until it's needed. A quick push of a button on the fob and BOOM! We have a plate again :P He's also branded me with my own name plate! No picture yet but it says: S1LV3RFX , any guesses at to what that is?? haha. I thought it was quite fitting. Finally, closer to the end of the summer 2011 I got one of these... REPRESENT!!!! ![]() ![]() There wasn't much more activity really for 2011 other than the numerous nightly cruises with just the two of us <3 and some attendance at a few random shows in the city. Before we knew it, it was time to visit the oil spray dude again and off I went to his grandparents underground for another winter. He took my battery out so I'm hibernating at the moment and will continue to sit until the weather is nicer. He says it's for the best, I still think he's cheating on me though... bastard. But whatevs. It is what it is and I'll deal with it until I can confirm otherwise. Here is how I look when I'm not trapped in this cave he seems think I belong in during the winter months: ![]() Sexy ain't I? "I'm too sexy for my shirt..." ok, I won't. Thanks for checking me out. Glad to be a part of this club too as it's been a HUGE inspiration and we've made a lot of friends. I'm sorry for not showing myself off sooner, but I'm rather shy and sometimes have self-esteem issues (I blame Josh for never telling me I'm perfect and pretty typicial man!! PFFT! He's lucky I don't throw him through the windshield).I'm not sure what he's got planned for 2012, but stay tuned and we'll update you all when the time comes! Until then, CIAOOOOOOOO! Anderson Cooper. .... Now onto the business end of things: Exterior Mods: Tint (5% rear and back windows, 15% fronts) 20" MSR 087 wheels Ford Racing springs (1.5" drop) Crossdrilled rotors all around Painted Calipers 4300K HID Fogs LED puddle lights LED license plate lights Shaved front plate Custom plates Saab 9-3 Aero exhaust tips Interior Mods: LED lighting Ford Racing volts gauge mounted in dash Ford Flex shift knob Bass remote mounted in cigarette lighter Stereo Mods: Kicker zx2500.1 monoblock (birthed at 2600w+ @ 2 ohms) Pair of 12" Pioneer TS-W3001D4 Champion Pro Series (1000w RMS each) Custom ported enclosure and trunk setup KnuKonceptz 1/0 gauge wiring/terminals/big three Kinetik HC2400 power cell Stinger SGP35 relay isolator Ford Racing volts gauge The stereo is only running at 4 ohms of power right now due to sub-wiring configurations but even with about 1200w of power and a completely sealed trunk from the cabin, it's still able to eke out a 137.x on the TermLab. Post will be updated as required as new mods come in. So keep checking in! Thanks for looking everyone. Josh. |
