Hey Larry,

The website doesn't say one way or the other, will the X-brace work on an AWD Fusion?

I notice it says that installation difficulty is "medium" and requires 1.5 hours, yet it appears only four bolts are needed to attach.

Can you provide a bit of detail? It is doable with a couple of ramps to drive the car up onto? Will this item hamper access to the under side of the engine (e.g., simply taking off the plastic cover underneath)?

I believe the exhaust down pipe needs to be re routed or moved to get the x brace to fit. Only reason I haven't bought one yet.

I don't believe that is the case. I'll try to dig up the install instructions so you guys can take a look.

The downpipe/flexpipe is well behind the bar, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Due to the part that angles towards the ground, the soon-to-be-lowered stance of my car, and the overall shittiness of the roads where I live, I don't think this is a viable option for me. Although the deal at Steeda right now is making this hard to ignore.

I also think you need a little more than basic hand tools to get those bolts off the car. I tried removing them with a torque wrench when I installed my h-brace and those suckers would not budge. Who knows, maybe I was just being a little bitch-girl about using force

Looks like you need to lose your bottom engine cover to have the brace installed. Not sure I want all that crap going into my engine bay...I live in Canada, and we have messy winters here.

Silly question, but why would you use a torque wrench to remove a bolt?
