Ford is having a busy week testing its upcoming models.
Earlier today, spy photographers caught the 2017 Ford GT out and about on public roadways and now they've sent over 2016 Ford Escape spy photos, albeit with some camouflage.
It appears that the American automaker is taking styling cues from the 2016 Ford Edge and applying them to the entry-level Escape that competes against the Chevrolet Equinox and Honda CR-V. The prototype's front end hints at a large, trapezoidal grille while the headlights appear to be larger than the current Escape with more details.

Expect the rear of the Escape to be updated with revised taillights and minor styling alterations. As for the interior, Ford will likely incorporate simplified infotainment controls like it has on the new Focus, along with adding in its next-generation SYNC 3 system.
I saw one of these the other day. Also along with it were a couple of disguised 4-door cars. New Taurus or facelifted Fusions?
