This time of year I always bring this up. While the remote start goes in on Tuesday I was looking into an engine block heater for the cold nights I'm on call w/ EMS. Does anyone here use one or have any experience with this?
From my experience in Alaska many moons ago the tank-type heater works much better than the freeze plug type, assuming they're still available and will fit your Milan.
I have a block heater on my Milan. It works outstanding. My car sits outside 24/7 and it can get real cold here. I use it pretty much any time the temps get into the teens or lower at night. Sure is nice getting in and driving away with warm air blowing within a couple minutes. And a lot eaiser on your car engine also. 4th winter with mine and 94,000 on car no problems.
