Spring Isolators
« on: July 29, 2010, 05:11:21 PM »
It's about time I addressed the creaking in the front end.  I need to get some isolators on the springs.  I pulled the isolators from the stock springs, but they seem kind of cheap.  I don't want to put them on the Ford Racing Springs and have them crack or break on me.

First off, can I reuse these without worry?  Or can I get some new ones online, yeah I know about energysuspension, but has anybody ordered and been satisfied with what you received.  More importantly, a part # would be greatly appreciated.  Here is a pic of the stock isolators, no cracks on them.            Thanks.

I reused the factory ones and never had a problem.
No, we must continue on with the vaginal bleeding seminar.

Get Tein's! They already have them :P When I have my FR springs, the stock isolators were so torn up that I didn't even bother putting them on, and it squeaked lol

Yeah, the squeaking has finally gotten to me.  I'm happy with the springs, but I don't want people looking at my car as I drive by for the wrong reason!

I reused the stock isolators when I put my FR springs on a few thousand miles ago. Haven't heard any squeaking. My stock springs only had about 20k on them when I removed them...

Just a follow-up post, put the stock isolators on and no more noise!  Ah, the silence...

Isolators are just that - isolators.  They stop noises and have no impact at all on performance.  So no reason not to use the stock parts unless they are really beat up.
