Howdy Everyone,

New to the Fusion club, and ready to rock and roll on my new 2010 SEL.  First thing I did was put the Smokestone Pin Stripe down the side to tie the exterior to the interior Smokestone leather.  Next I want to put on a new set of wheels, and I am a sucker for big 5 spoke designs.  First wheel that caught my eye was the Avenue/MKW A527, but not sure of bright chrome on the Sterling Grey exterior.  So let me know what your opinion would be on the following being put on the 2010 SEL.

Here is the blank canvas:

Thanks!

Thanks The Only MTS and Shansen120!

I have been looking through posts on here, and other than chrome in mesh I haven't seen anyone putting on big 5 spokes all chrome.  A little worried about how it would look, but can find nothing to compare to on a Fusion to get a feel for it.  Really I see no Fusions in Sterling Grey putting wheels on anywhere so maybe if I can find someone who can use photoshop to put them on or something similar would be good.

Anyone possibly able to do that?

Thanks!

I've got 5 spoke chrome but not nearly that big and a different color also. There is a silver/gray Fusion on here with the same wheels as mine and I think it looks great. Great is subjective of course.

Justin, Sanddog, MRC all had a fat 5 spoke wheel. I think they were Boss wheels but.....the spoke extended out to the edge of the wheel making it really look full. I don't mind the fat spoke as much as the fat spoke with a lip. Just a personal preference but it may look great. It will hide these ugly brakes for sure or at least help.

So far no one is thinking these will look good, guess I will wait and see if someone later will chime in maybe with some pics of big 5 spoke chromes on a Fusion.  I will keep scouring posts in the wheels/tires forums to see if I can find anything remotely close.  Maybe get to a local customizing shop and see if they have anything close to throw on for looks.

Thanks for all the replies, but keep them coming if you have a pic would love to see them.

I think you will find that the majority of us are not into the big chrome rims,
but hey is personal preference, and if you like them then thats what you should think about it.
Dont always go off of everyone elses opinions, when you like what you did or want

Here is a 5 spoke chrome but about half as wide as what you are looking at. I likes the chrome.

This is your brain:

This is your brain on chrome:

Any questions?

Before anyone's feelings get hurt, I'm just kidding.  I despise chrome, but I realize that other people like different things.  In the end, just buy the rims that you want  :)

Confusion, those wheels are hot. I've wondered how much it would be to add a lip to my wheels, just the rear ones.

Slony, my wheels look like chrome from a distance but it's actually polished aluminum. I think they look okay.
Don't rush into getting wheels just so you can say you have them.

If everything is under control, you're not going fast enough.

I agree with the rest of the bunch here, but that is my personal opinion.  If you like those wheels, and think they would look good on your car, I would try to find a site like this (http://www.andysautosport.com/wheels/ford_fusion.html) and if you really think that they would look the best then go for it, don't let others make you decision, but if you go with these and post pics on ffc, be prepared to take some criticism LOL  just make sure you are absolutely sure you like those wheels before you pull the trigger.

There's chrome....and then there is hyperblack chrome  :)
Grey would be the right color to start with I would think.

Thanks for all the input everyone, and believe me I don't take this decision or any decision lightly.  I have been known to take a month to decide on a new shoe for my feet, not going to rush the decision for the Fusions new shoes.  I like the chrome, and I guess I was just hoping to get some pictures out of the group with big fat 5 spokes on.  I am going to a local shop this weekend to see if they can find something close to throw on for looks.  I will take the camera and let you know what they look like if they have them.

So I did get to see something simliar to the first wheels on my fusion, and everyone was close.  While not completely horrible it just wasn't right with the fat 5 spokes, and the bright chrome.  Didn't take pictures because I forgot my camera and had to drive about 90 miles to a custom shop to see them.  So been looking around and I like the look of the following AR Villians, how do you think they would look?

Thanks!
