Shit.... now I am going to have to do this....  great, thanks for making me want another upgrade ;)   Did you use a harness, any BOW?

LMAO, you know it never ends!  at least this one is cheap and easy, this set only costs $30!  No harness needed, and no BOWs either!  I'd suggest getting a kit with the older fat ballasts though, lots of peeps i questioned said they are more reliable.

Perfect colour, I too went with the 6000k's and they look great. Those totally change the look of the car for the better.

Where did you mount the ballasts? fender? I've had trouble getting them to stay stuck. Also how was the passenger side install?

Thanks Gravey, I agree that 6000K may give the best compromise between looks and usable performance.  I went ahead and mounted the ballasts to the flattest area on the inner fenders that I could find, not real sure how well they are gonna stay.  If they fall off I may try replacing the adhesive with 3M instead.

I agree with reliability, I had a set of large "non-digital" ballasts for 5 years in my Mazda... not issue.  Had a set of DDM for not even 5 months and the ballasts fried.

You're right Ace, I'm dyin' to spill, but I'll try to hold off.  i may not succeed haha!

Shansen, thanks bruh!  I hope you guys like it, I hope I do too...

The only hint I'll give is that it's something that no one here at FFC has done, AFAIK...  which, if you've learned anything about me over the years I've been here, was a big factor in my decision to do this.

Alright, my next mod arrived yesterday afternoon, and my buddy and I installed them last night!  It was too dark to take pics so I had to wait until this morning, I could barely sleep!

I have striven over the years to choose unique and original modifications for my Fusion that will allow my car to have it's own identity.  So that when someone sees my ride, they'll say, "Yup, that's GEIST's Fusion."  To me, this is a very important facet of modding your car, put your own spin on it and make it your own.  One of my motto's in life is one of the main principles of Bruce Lee's martial art, Jeet Kun Do:

"Absorb what is Useful, Discard what is Useless, and Add what is Inherently Your Own."

The original vision for my car was to combine the 3dCarbon front lip with the Street Scene side skirts for the longest time...

but lately the more I'd seen the 2010 Sports, the more I fell in love with the clean look and stylish design of the side skirts they come with...  so I changed my plan and went with something unique, something no one has yet to do, and I'm pleased with the outcome!

Presenting what I believe are the first ever pics of the 2010 Sport Side Skirts on a First Generation Fusion!

If I ever see your car in person I'll now for sure that it's yours.
Are going to re-do your taillamps?

Thanks shansen, ace, luis!  i really like how they seem to match the 3dC lip perfectly.  yup, i need some more niteshade spray for my tails, i ran out!  that's the only downfall to using VHT, having to reapply every so often.

I can't believe I haven't posted in here yet!  As much time as I spend admiring your car, and especially tail lights  :chuckles: , one would think I would have at least said something haha.

Before I go any further, does anyone see the comparison between Geist's car and the rear of a GTO?

Anyways, I admire your car and work Geist.  All these "small" mods really make a huge difference.  Now I need to muster up the courage and think of something for my taillights!

As do I Mr. Shansen.  Definitely the most aggressive looking rear shot I have and probably will ever see on a Fusion.  I know for a fact that if we started a "nicest a$$ thread" Geist would close that thread in a second

there's nothing better than the approval of your peers, means a lot!  so where's this rear end thread...

btw, blackfusion, i never noticed the similarities to the GTO rear, that's kinda neat!  i've actually for a long time been contemplating doing the area above the exhaust in a dark grey like that...  what do y'all think?

I was trying to picture the same thing when I posted the picture.  The reason why the GTO pulls it off is the smoked tail lights.  Without something else to "clash" with the gray, it would look out of place in my opinion.
