Re: Things you DON'T Like about the Fusion, Milan, or Zephyr / MKS

cos,

Yeah I have it lowered as far as it goes down, and I have it reclined back a bit (more then I would like) and the headliner just clears my head. If only they had made the sun roof opening a little wider I'm 6' tall but I have short legs and a tall upper body. Normal 6' tall people probably don;t have any problems. I'm just a mutant. As ming321 said, the seatbelt is anchored a bit low as well. I had plenty of room in the Fusion without a sun roof. I really wanted the sun roof though.

the only complaint i have right now is the location of the trunk release button. countless times at night, i'll fondle around trying to get the dome lights on and accidently push the trunk release.

At just over 1000 miles, I don't have too many dislikes, and what I have is kind of picky.
1- Poor interior lighting...needs footwell lights and seperate rear seat dome light.
2- 4cyl is a bit noisy, but the car is so quiet it may cause you to be more sensitive to the engine noise
3- 4 speed ventilation fan...should be 5 speed, and the fan is noisier than I'd like
4- slight hesitation with 4cyl auto when you are "rolling" through a stop sign and hit the gas
5- key fob is too big
6- no remote start factory availability
7- rear vision is poor...be careful! backup sensors should be standard fare.

The leather seats are sectioned in an uncomfortable way. The seam closest to the back rest should not be there. I find my butt resting on it, and when I hit a bump it feels like I'm sitting on a wire. I then shove my a$$ in further up against the back rest and the problem is solved.

Without that seam there would be no problem.

Cheers!

I agree that rear visibility is pathetic on these things. I have almost hit somehting more than once backing up.

Yes, the rear visibility is poor but that's tradeoff for a HUGE trunk. Would you sacrifice trunk space for better rear visibility?

I'd shave a small bit of trunk room (10%) for better rearward visibility. However, doing so may adversely effect the awesome styling of this car.

Things I don't like about the fusion.

I have Black paint. Very hard to maintain. Next time silver. But hey, I still love the color black.
Just wished they used a better color black.

4 Cylinder = TOO QUIET! At least 50% of the time I forget to shut my car off at the pump,
and the gas attendent (New Jersey, we don't have to pump our gas!) didn't even know my
car was on. I'm GOING TO BLOW UP!

Literally

My turn signals don't seem to turn off automatically when merging off a hwy with a curvy offramp.

I also don't like that my heated seats turn off automatically and don't turn back on automatically.

Trust me its better this way...

I had a SVTF with heated seats. I was able to turn them on and they would stay on as long as I didn't hit the button again... (and therefore turn on again once I got in the car again).

The driver's side burnt out just after my three year warranty. Cost to replace was too expensive, so I got rid of it.

I think with them having the timer and you having to reset each time you start up, it'll prolong its life.

Cheers!
