Very disappointing. So very disappointing. Sat in one for the first time today. I've lusted over them for YEARS. Even before they were in this county. Went to the NY Auto Show today. Wow. SOOOOO cheap on the inside. Maybe I'm a VW snob now and I've been spoiled? I just can't see what justifies the price tag anymore. Also sat in a focus ST. Cool car. The recaro seats. Not made for me at all. I sat on the seat..not in it. I'd still consider one if ford ever released a REAL DSG trans.

the sti has always been like that (the EVO too). it doesnt have a flashy interior, its just a performer. definetly a drivers car. dont get me wrong, im not saying vw doesnt perform well, they just dont have anything really on that level. if you drive one, you'll under stand all those creature comforts on the interior dont matter, unless your the type of person who needs those things, in which case its not a car for you.

Guy at my work says since he has a Mercedes now he could never go to a BMW.
now thats being a snob, lmao. the sad part is, i understand what he means. mercedes interior are def way nicer than bmw nowadays. bmw has gone a bit plastic-y. plus mercedes leather feels like its of a better quality. im sure everyone has their own opinion on this, but thats just my take.

I took a ST for a ride and found it to be a fun little car. I can see the seats being. Little uncomfortable if you were driving on the highway for a while but ripping around town it was fine.

I think if I were to be on the market again for a new vehicle id look closely at the Focus.

Plus Hennessy (sp) makes a kit for it bumping it to 300bhp for $1500.
