Necro bump...I found this while doing a search....

+1 for hilarious, but very sad, truth.

I had purchased a 1992 Dodge Dayton IROC turbo....

1 week after purchase the cylinder head cracked in....seizing the bottom end and destroying the turbo by flooding it with coolant.

2 months later the first (of many) transmission blew up.

1 month later the first (again, of many) drivers side door moldings just fell off.

Repeat this cycle until I got to the 2 year, and 35,000 mile, mark and sold the car back to the dealer after a fresh rebuild of both transmission and cylinder head.

This thread can no peacefully go back to hell along with all Chrysler products..

No need to be sorry... that's a sweet looking car! The front end flows so well. Dodge's new models are pretty amazing.. my brother just got a 2012 Charger SXT. Black with the Blacktop package (black chrome wheels and grille, sport suspension, paddle shifters), has the 8.whatever inch touch screen, Beats by Dr. Dre sound system... he got the V6, but the new Pentastars are supposed to be great in terms of power and efficiency. The new 8-speed transmission is very smooth.

Sorry for the tangent rant, but I had to state how impressed I am with Dodge lately. Not to mention the entire Chrysler group in general (my oldest brother has a 2011 Grand Cherokee which is amazing, plus it has a Hemi). I'm actually excited to see how they redesign the Avenger in a couple of years. Hopefully they won't disappoint.

:hijacked:
Now, back to the Dart :)
