I'm not necessarily selling the Fusion, but there is a chance once winter or next spring rolls around I entertain the possibility. With a new job and all I'll have more money coming in and I'd prefer to have a "fun" car. Than again, who knows what can happen in a 6-12 month period.

Some criteria I'm looking at:

I'm looking at something $10,000 or less
RWD or AWD
Manual
"Newer" year
Not picky on a sedan or coupe at this point
I would prefer an only summer vehicle, but depending on the selection (i.e. a WRX) I'd consider just getting one vehicle for summer/winter.

Obviously this leaves a lot of possibilities out there...and that's exactly my point. Let's see what you guys have!

e30 all the way (I would get a 325i 5spd... damn bulletproof), get it cheap and from somewhere were rust is a myth. Then dump the extra cash into mods ;)

Mine had 344,000kms on it when the rear suspension came into the trunk, but it was an east coast car exposed to salt spray. I got it with 160,000kms on it and the factory clutch. Never did anything but add some exhaust and lowering. When it was given up, the engine still started daily and the there may have been a throw out bearing growling in the tranny. But nothing else.

I just learned last night that Fox Body mustangs are super light for what they are. They would be a great fun car for pretty cheap. They're light and can easily make power, so they are fast. The suspension geometry isn't horrible, and the camber curves are god awful, but with some simple suspension upgrades it will handle like no other. In my second car search, I'm now adding a Fox Body to the list, so I'll be either looking for an NA Miata, 87-93 Mustang 5.0, or Mustang SVO.

One of my favs but...drum brakes, 4 lug, solid rear axle, awful gearing, etc. Def will take some work to make it at the track. Bulletproof drivtrain though.

You didn't specify furrin' or domestic.....

Why not find something off the map... for example...

95-98 AWD Talon TSI w/ 5 spd (good luck finding a '98)
95-97 Thunderbird 4.6 V8 w/ 5 spd (not easy to find)
03-04 Mercury Marauder  (i am partial to Mercury) No Manual though

dare to be different...

there never was a 95-97 v8 5 spd only the 95 3.8 s/c had a manual. i wish they had a 5 spd i loved my 4.6 t-bird.

the only car to see a v8 and 5 spd was the infamous sve/svt thunderbird that had a 32valve suparcharged v8 with tremec 5 sp (cobra drive train). however they were crushed like all prototype cars.
