Oh, and from a distance when we saw the showroom, we I thought it was a new tiburon, but when we got closer to it, we like no way that's way too big for a tiburon. it's one of those cars you have to see in person....it's so much nicer. Even the rims it had were amazing...probably the only Hyundai i'd ever buy...

Hyundai's are turning out to be quite nice vehicles, but I've never liked their interiors much. I had a Hyundai Genesis (the sedan model) as a rental in December and wasn't overly impressed. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice car, but the interior was cheezy-feeling, laidout poorly, and was cheap looking upon close inspection. The navigation in it was a joke, probably the worst out of all the systems I'd seen. It was consistantly off on city side streets and the navigation routes in the city were questionable at best (maybe Hyundai was afraid of people making left turns?).

Now a lot may be asking "How does that interior look cheap?" Well, upon close inspection and feel, it has that hard textured style plastic that you'd find in a lot less expensive vehicles. Also, the fit and finish is nice on most parts of the vehicle, but from the mid-level and below on the dash you notice uneven gaps from slapped together panels.

Maybe this coupe is a little different, but the interior materials look the same by the pics.

I believe for 25k, that is surprisingly cheap. I got to see this car in person in South Korea a month ago (don't know if they are out here yet), but it looked like a vehicle that can sell for more than that (well, with as bad as the interior sounds...maybe not, but that will improve). Besides with the power it comes with, I'd rather drive one of them than any STI/EVO anyday if I were (or had) to buy an import. I hate how STI's and EVO's look like little RC toy rice rockets. Ok, if I were to buy an "import" it'd be the mazdaspeed6 more than anything. Haha, but appearance wise of the exterior of the genesis coupe is amazing. I've never really liked the way the sedan looks...

Hmm, that wasn't my impression of the Genesis when I drove it. I thought it was well put together with quality materials. I somewhat agree on the layout comment though, they went a bit to far on eliminating real buttons. You have to reach down to turn up the volume on the radio, but you have to reach up and use the nav screen to change the station.

I saw this car at a car show. Really surprised when I saw it was a Hyundai.

Hyundai needs to hire it's own design team. They modeled it directly after the G37. The sedan looks like the front is a benz and the back is a BMW. Same goes for the XG350/Kia Sedona. Both are copies of other auto makers.

All of their cars look like copies from other auto makers.
