I'm hoping someone can help me with this, My fuse 47 keeps blowing I'm not sure exactly when it blows but i would say generally after 10 min or so of driving, I ran the diagnostics and I'm getting a p0815 , a p0816, p0645 and a p1489, I've changed and swapped the relays, and changed the pcv heater, I haven't used the a/c since the fuse keeps blowing before i get a chance. I'm leaning towards the upshift and downshift circuit but I'm not sure where to locate this part, any help is greatly appreciated
While I don't know the layout off-hand, for quick reference Fuse 47 handles...
Reverse lamp relay
A/C Clutch Relay
Floor Shifter SNS Power / OD Cancel
What I'd recommend, depending on how quickly it needs to be resolved, is pick up a USB ELM327 module and modify it to support MS-CAN. You can use FORscan to get more specific diagnostic information on your car. It's pretty specific; on my 2010 Milan it even detected my keypad LEDs were damaged. It narrowed down a wire I had pinched installing my radio.
i would remove the a/c relay and reverse lamp relay. your car should be fine running without those. if it still blows then you know it has something to do with the floor shifter or pcv heater.
So I ended up getting an ect2000 to trace the wire, in the main wire harness coming from the fuse box, the area where it might've been shorting out it was wrapped in a silver foil with a tie wrap, wrapped fairly tightly around it, so I cut the area open but I didn't see any breaks , or anything that looked suspicious. So I ended up putting everything back together since it started to rain, so i drove it for the next couple days until I had another chance to look at it, and when i checked the fuse to see if it was blown it was still intact checked it a couple days later it was still fine, so I'm not exactly sure what I did but I'm sure it was the pcv wire that was causing the problem since I wasn't using the a/c and it didn't blow right away with the floor shifter or the reverse lamp.
Those are the best, aren't they? "I have absolutely no idea what I did, but it works now."
