Hi all,
I have a 2011 Fusion Sport AWD & the dynamic stability control/AdvanceTrac drives me INSANE! With no normal process to turn it off, I am working on getting a custom tune from Steeda done to turn it off for good.
In the meantime, I figured, what the hell, why not just pull the fuse for AdvanceTrac(fuse #42) & see if that works? It does! I mean, my gauge cluster is lit up with a wrench, ABS & traction control LED's, along with messages to Service AdvanceTrac & Check AWD, but it gives me what I want. Control of my vehicle.
With that being said, does anyone see any damage that could be done by driving with the single fuse missing for ECU/AdvanceTrac? I assumed not, but just wanted some thoughts here.
Loving my Fusion Sport even more with it removed & can't believe on the Sport model Ford wouldn't give you an option/button to turn off this "feature"
