Hi guys, i just found the RICA Engineering web page and they claim with the instalation of the chip, the 2.0 T goes like this:

FROM STOCK Power 240 hp @ 5650 rpm
TO 268 hp @ 5520 rpm + 28 hp

FROM STOCK Torque 340 Nm @ 2115 rpm
TO 389 Nm @ 2500 rpm + 49 Nm

The information can be found here: http://www.rica.nl/chiptuning.php

Any of you have tried this? Is it good for a brand new car?

Thanks for your opinions!

There is so much grey area concerning tunes and warranty that I have always steered clear until the powertrain warranty has expired. A lot of dealers won't bat an eye at it, while others will. bbf, a mod on here, is a good person to ask.

I've never heard of RICA. I've only used COBB and Livernois tunes.

I would think it is pretty easy to see if their results are real or BS. Ask for a dyne sheet with results. Ask if your car will see the same HP gains. Charge the chip on your credit card. Install and take it to be dyno tested and see if your results are similar. If not, contest the charge as a fraudulent advertising/scam.

There's also a disclaimer:
This ECM upgrade requires 98 RON super-unleaded in order to achieve the maximum performance and maximum fuel economy. 95 RON can be used but performance and economy will be adversely affected.
Highest octane readily available here in Western Canada is 94.
I'd be leery of being the first to test a European tuner's work on a NA car...

For ecoboost cars in the us livernois so far makes the best tunes.

I'm running a Rica tune in my Volvo S60 (2.5T) and have been very pleased with it. I was impressed enough with the Stage 1 tune, that I opted for a larger down pipe and the Stage 2 tune about a year later. The support, instructions and tuning worked flawlessly and I've had zero problems with the setup. It's good to hear they are getting into the EcoBoost tuning as a turbo Fusion or MKZ is likely my next car...
