Well it have 91K and bought used.

Transmission shift and work fine at normal driving.

After stop and go its work as it should.

If i slow fast for a yield and go without stopping its like 1st gear doesn't engage, it will engine will rev up and it will engage hard! If I slow down long enough it will engage normal.

Also From R to D take little longer than most cars.

Its a MKZ so I have the 6spd AT WF 80SC unit.

I hope its just a valve body issue.

Mine has always operated that way. What I've found through many city miles is that when the vehicle reaches approximately 5 mph on deceleration, it will disengage gear and switch to neutral. When you go to accelerate again, lightly apply the gas until you feel it engage, then drive as you normally would. Otherwise, you will end up with that rough engagement.
