Hello my name is Simon and I have owned my first Ford Fusion for a week. It runs and drives great I love it but I bought it with 3 issues I was wondering about. It's a 2006 SE V6 3.0 duratec auto and it has a CV boot leaking, timing chain cover seeping, and 3 codes in the security transponder. The dealer is going to pay half the costs to fix it. My question is (Im a mustang guy so I don't know) when I accelerate, brake, and sometimes turn the wheel I feel a slight tick in the steering wheel, Is that the worn out CV causing that? also which repairs should I fix first? I know the timing chain seeping is the most expensive fix but some help for a new owner would be great. I love the Fusion and always wanted one so I want to keep it nice. Thanks for any help for the Newbie.

Cheers Simon L., From Ohio.

The ticking is probably your CV half shaft because it has run dry of grease. I would fix this first because it could leave you stranded when it breaks, and it could be masking other problems with the suspension/steering. If you still have ticking after replacing the CV half shaft, you know you need to get your steering looked at.
Next I'd get the codes read and straighten out that problem. This will ensure you don't have a miss that will destroy your catalytic converters or some other major damage caused by bad sensors.
Finally, I'd go with the oil leak. As long as this isn't getting onto your serpentine belt, it doesn't have any immediate concern except that you want to make sure you keep the oil topped off. Also, it would be better for the ground water in your community if you put a drain pan under the drip when you park it (until you get it fixed).
