6F35 Shift Flare

Hi All,
I was delaying the purchase of a tune to avoid voiding my warranty before 60k miles, but I've got the infamous 2-3 shift flare, along with harsh reverse and drive first shift engagement occasionally (flare happens only when cold, harsh first engagement only when hot, fluid level is good). Being a 2012, I believe my car has the most recent calibration if I'm not mistaken, so a Ford re-flash isn't going to help me.
I've heard others say that they've had success with running premium or E85, which means its a trans calibration issue that Ford has still failed to iron out. I'm assuming if that's the case, then I may be able to fix my problem by just purchasing the performance tune now from either Hypertech or SCT.
Does anyone here with these tunes installed have the 6F35 shift flare issues? Has anyone installed the tune and seen an improvement in this sort of behavior after it already started? Also, has anyone with this issue gotten it fixed under warranty by going to the dealer? All of the threads I've seen where people do that, the problem just comes back after a huge hassle and loss of use of their vehicle, which I'd like to avoid if possible.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize my details weren't showing up. It's a 2012 SE with the 3.0 V6 FFV.
