As many of you saw on the Facebook page, Super Six Motorsports is starting work on the 3.5L and 3.7L Cyclone motors.
I have been in contact with their owner / mechanic about its application to the Fusion Sport and we have had great success.
It turns out that the upper and lower intake manifold on the Sport are shared with numerous other vehicles. With that being said, that means availability of spare parts is very high.
I'm acquiring a set this weekend to send to SSM for "testing". They have currently only done work on the TiVCT 3.5L, which has different intake manifolds.
Sports are getting cheap and I really dont know why! It may be due to the billions that were made I dont really know. You can get a loaded Sport with low miles anywere from $15,000 to $20,000.
Thanks for putting this on here Tyler. I was going to but I figured you would do it and I didnt want to steal your thunder... LoL...
Im excited for our future HP #s with these new found mods. Not to mention they (super6) are thinking of boost and cams. All we need now are headers. The great thing is no one will see it comming and wonder why fusions are so fast on all motor.
Yes i did and the judge said because of my age (18) and how new of a car i owned (fusion) he must teach me a lesson. And gave me full points. AND THE KICKER IS THAT Neither cop (i got 2 tickets) had proof of me speeding.

I'm also 18 and I got pulled over for going 13 over by Henry Ford community college, but I went to court and the ticket got changed to double parking lol.
I'm going to see if SSM will flow test them. I'm not sure if they have the equipment on site or not. They flow tested the TiVCT stuff already and saw about 21% flow increase.
Should see a gain with appropriate tuning, but probably even without a tune.
I wish I trusted Livernois Performance, but I've heard too much bad stuff about them. There has to be a big Ford tuner in the greater Detroit area besides them.
I'm sure there would be very nice gains if the car were tuned for it. Too bad the deal between Troy and the shop he worked for went bad, that would've been the best.
Alright, just got done at the junkyard. Got a lower intake manifold from a 2007 MKZ and an upper intake manifold from a 2007 Edge. As a bonus, I got a throttle body attached to the upper intake manifold for no additional fee.
Walked out for less than $150 and I didn't even have to pull it. I was able to confirm that the 3.5L TiVCT and 3.7L throttle body does NOT fit on our intake manifold. It is just a little too wide to line up. It'd work great with an adapter plate, but it's only 3mm bigger.
I found a company that can bore out the factory one for cheaper than even a used factory TB. I'll probably give it a try with the spare I have. If I got 70mm out of it, I'd be happy.
Got good news from SSM today. Fairly decent porting can be completed on the lower IM and decent porting can be done on the upper. Tom said it looks promising and its somewhat similar to the TiVCT intakes.
I got a guy who does tuning. But he wants like $800 to tune. But the reason why it's so much is cause he doesn't have the software to tune the fusions. So I would have to purchase it. But $800 isn't worth 20hp or even if that, to me.. Lol. Especially for the 2.5l.
Tyler, Yes we have them, the lower should work great when ported, but it needs a substantial amount of work. The upper is pretty good as it is, needs only minor work behind the throttle body. I’m going to keep the costs pretty low, most of the costs will be the lower. $300 will cover the porting of the lower and the upper.
Just heard back. They should be done next week. I have no clue when I'll get them on, though. I have all the tools to do it and knowledge, but I don't have a place I can work on it lined up yet.
I should have parts in hand next week. Install hopefully will be shortly thereafter. A ton of gaskets need to be replaced and coolant needs drained to get everything switched out.
Tune should happen after the install and when I can get a good data log going.
