Re: Various Movies of my Magnaflow Exhaust

Hey man, I like your profile you created at Car Domain. I have the S model, so I want those fog lights and exhaust also. At first, I didn't want any tint, but after seeing how great it looks on your, I change my mind. :chuckles: :chuckles: How much did you have to pay for the fog lights?

Thanks alot, Ceace :)
The Fog light itself and the foglight insert I got from partscheap.com, there is a sponsor on the Board that represents them... look him up in the "Sponsors"section of this Forum and talk to him... he'll make you a deal...
if you need anymore info, let me know.

Re: Various Movies of my Magnaflow Exhaust

Sorry if this is slightly off topic... :D

Some Magnaflow vids of my Mustang at up to 100mph...don't view without large woofers or subwoofers.
The Magnaflow stuff is great. Look around online, paid $299 with a retail of $599. MagnaFlow MagnaPack with a MAC ProChamber front pipe.

So a V-6 SE will do 115...what is the speed rating on the 16" tires? I've had my I-4 manual SEL to 108, I sure hope it doesn't shutdown at 115 with V-rated (149mph) tires!! You car ripped pretty good from 45 to 115, impressive.

A little more car stuff - http://mlav.com/car

2004 "40th Anniversary" package - Crimson Red - same paint code as my Merlot Fusion.

The V6 16" tires have "H" (not sure) rating .. soo 135mph (?? not sure) is he limit on them?
At the time of the videos, the only mod I had was the exhaust... not I have the X-Cal2 rom BamaChip and Steeda CAI... so now it runs quite quicker, sounds even better, and can sure as hell do better than 115mph.
Thanks, the numbers from 45 to 115 looked somewhat impressive, but trust me when I say... They are a whole lot better now!!

btw.. your mustang sounds exactly what I'd imagine a mustang should sound like! gj!

I wouldnt say that there are any noticeable performance gains... but it sounds hella sexy!
the freeway droning is only there when you floor it.. :)

Re: Various Movies of my Magnaflow Exhaust

Any new movies? I watched yours, and it was horrible sounding between 75-80 on my speakers. I don't know. It could have been your camera and the way it picked up specific tones -- but I'm nervous to get it.

sorry bro.. but ultimately, the only way to truly appreciate this exhaust is by hearing it live...
I'll be making little modifications to the exhaust tomorrow (Saturday) :fc:.. because my CAI over powers the sound of my exhaust... so I'll be making just a tad louder to level out the sounds...
but even then... I still get complements on how my exhaust sounds like lower level of stang gt exhaust...

I know i might go a little of topic here, BUT i have a question. I have a 4 cyl. and i was told to buy this magnaflow exhaust. now do i have to buy the whole system? or just the muffler to get that sound and hopefully gain more HP? and also i've seen this " Xcal2 Tuner from BamaChip "? can i aslo put something like that one my car? and what about an intake? man i got alot of questions and i see you guys know alot about fusions. Glad i found this site.

You can just buy a muffler but the sound will be different because it would use the stock resonator. The Xcal you can use on your car. They should as you when you buy it want engine and tansmission you have. Speeda has a "cold air intake" that you can buy for the fusion. Both companies that sell those parts for your fusion are sponsors of this website. I would start a new thead asking people for advice if you want more specific information.

Welcome to the board, my friend.

As far as the exhaust goes, you can buy either one.
There are universal mufflers made by Magnaflow and there are also complete cat back exhaust also made my by Magnaflow
click HERE to view/buy Magnaflow full exhaust. You can find universal mufflers on eBay.

Yes, also available, is a ECU programmer, that basically reprograms your ECU computer to improve throttle response and much more to increase the hp, torque, and responsiveness of your Fusion.
click HERE to view/buy the X-Cal2 tuner from BamaChip. (Recommended)

As far as the Cold Air Intake goes, there is one available for the I4 engines as well now.
Click HERE to view/buy the Steeda CAI.

I hope that helps... I tried.

P.S.
We also have the sponsors for Steeda and Jusnes-Modified/BamaChip here on board that you can ask any further question if you want any further detailed information:

  • Click HERE to contact Bob from Jusnes Modified/BamaChip regarding the X-Cal2 programmer (any try nd see if he yet sells the Magnaflow exhaust for the I4).

  • Click HERE to contact Larry from Steeda regarding the Steeda Cold Air Intake.

Thanks for the tunes , It was your recordings and Bob Jusion's post on exhaust , that helped me decide on the cat-back magnaflow . Originally I was going to have a muffler shop cut off the resonator , and replace it with a straight pipe , and cut of the mufflers . Then weld in two magnaflow mufflers and crome tips .
The out the door price was $ 463.00 . For $ 67.00 more , and three hours work, the cat-back system is much better . It's polished and very clean installation , no cutting or welding .
The sound is deep , no rumble , just a deep base . It's not loud , just enough to give the car a somewhat exotic sound . Like Bob Jusions said , " you can trust Magnaflow " , it's what they do , and they do it very well .

I just orderd my exhaust today! :D cant wait to get it. I got a questiong though. around what price do they charge to install it? i would try doing it myself but i'm afraid i can mess something up.
[/quote]
Congrats on the buy, depending on the shop (of course) should be in the range of 40$-100$ ...
I'd also recommend for you to weld+bolt on, unless you are planning on selling it once you are done with you Fusion then just bolt-on.
